HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

I wish all mothers today, step-mothers, adoptive mothers, and grandmothers along with those still living great-grandmothers – finally last but not least all passed on mothers a very blessed and Happy Mother’s Day. May it be filled with joy and love.

The Better Prize
I see you’re tired when I get home.
You feel some days you’re all alone.
But what you’re doing is priceless, dear,
And one day you’ll look back–one year.
Far from now when these kids are grown,
You’ll remember the days you spent at home.
Wiping noses, washing dishes,
Having tea parties, getting kisses.
Playing ball and tying shoes,
Dressing dolls and kissing boo-boo’s,
Then you’ll look at me with tearful eyes,
and know you got the better prize.

  1. Today is my first “official” Mother’s Day!

Now that I’m married to Warren, I am stepmother to his son and stepmother-in-law to his daughter-in-law.

Yesterday afternoon, a flower delivery arrived here. Such a gorgeous arrangement (roses, stargazer lilies, hydrangeas, carnations, and more), and the arrangement is in its own vase so I don’t have to work at arrangement.

Best of all, though, is the card accompanying the arrangement: “We love you!!” I’ve been a little nervous about being a stepmother. o_O
