[The Madman’s Ravings]

[Vladimir Putin has gone mad].

Translation of Putin’s speech in English

My words to Putin …

[To Vladimir Putin]:

[You’re a war criminal. You are attacking a peaceful nation. Your idol Stalin forced my father from Lithuania to fall into the hands of the German Nazis. Nothing makes you better than Stalin. You’re a coward. I don’t respect you. Do you think you will live forever? Why do this with people who are your brothers, sisters, cousins, friends?]

[Because of Stalin, my father hated him more than Hitler. Because of Stalin, my father’s family lost everything, and like you, they were rich. But Stalin took it all and betrayed the Baltics, just as you are now betraying Ukraine and its people.]

[I don’t hate you, Putin, but I don’t respect you. I feel sorry for you. You are a small and weak coward. I will pray for you and the poor people of Russia who are suffering under your leadership. I also pray that Ukraine will destroy your troops, that they retreat out of fear of the Ukrainians. I’m nothing to you, but you don’t scare me.]

  1. When I was a small child, a Lithuanian family lived next-door. I was very young. I played with their youngest children. Although I really don’t remember my mother and father told me that I even spoke some Lithuanian.
Yes, much as your father, they hated the Communists worse than the Nazis even though the old man, –he probably wasn’t really that old– had been used as slave labor by the Nazis and managed to escape and find his family..
One thing I do remember is him saying was, The Nazis steal your life, the Russians steal everything and take your soul.

    1. Thanks for the story I so appreciate hearing these. That man regardless of old or not was exactly right. My father said that Hitler was mad but that Stalin was calculatingly cruel. My grandfather never spoke of what happened to them I only heard tidbits. Most of what I knew I found out through my own search. My dad would always say just forget about it.
