Sunday Late Edition – FAITH

Without God we are nothing. What makes man believe he or she can gain wealth and have no love for his or her fellow man and woman? This is the state we find our nation in. The government does not care about you and if you believe the government cares, you are wrong in this day and age. It is even questionable when you look into the past of the United States government as a whole.

The only thing God has ever asked us is to have faith, and if you have faith, do you know what that means? Having faith means you are obedient to God and His Word. If you truly have faith you know God will not fail you or us and that what the devil means for evil for us and in our nation God will use for good. Our circumstances in the United States do not look like anything good will ever come out of it now, but to have faith means to be obedient. Faith is the Conviction of Things Not Seen. The definition found in Hebrews 11:1 also states that faith is the “conviction of things not seen.” Having faith means to believe that God will do what He says He will do. That is obedience.

Our nation does not want to have faith in God. This nation has faith in its five senses, the things we can see, feel, taste, smell, and touch. This nation has faith in money but not in the One who has the power to give wealth, God. There are ungodly actions by people from homosexuality to lust and affairs -murders and rapists, thieves. There is no fear of God. Many Americans do not even believe in God.

So many people wonder what is going on and why this is happening? This began prior to JFK signing the bill to take prayer out of public schools. Men’s hearts have waxed cold and have given way to a reprobate mind. That is how prayer could be taken out of public schools. No freedom to truly worship why? The government-funded schools are why – the government took preeminence over God. Inherently this is against the U.S. Constitution but people let it go, others in government let it go. God was taken out of my generation’s publicly schooled educated children. In the ’70s Roe v. Wade was passed by our then-Supreme Court with Chief Justice Renquist dissenting, not enough dissenting justices to overturn Roe v. Wade. Since then America has killed at least two generations of children that may have contributed to the morality of this nation. Sadly we cannot legislate morality nor can we force people to believe in God and do what is right and moral.

In concluding, I would like to state that without God we are nothing, we have nothing. The Psalmist said, “that life is like a vapor (paraphrased).” What is your life like? What do you worry about? What do you pray for? Do you even believe in God? If not please accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. I promise you, you will never be sorry and the circumstances you find yourself in, you will be delivered from those circumstances because whom the Lord sets free is free indeed.

If you would like to accept Jesus and all that He has done for you, say this prayer and mean it from your heart: Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord and my Savior, now and forever. I believe that You rose from the dead and that You are alive today. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

The Aaronic Blessing

The LORD bless you and keep you;

the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;

the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.
